Situated at the southern slope of the legendary Pelion mountain, in the middle between centaurs and gods, legends and myths, The Kabouris Estate was established on 1853. Its principal activity to the late 60ies was the cultivation of olives and the production of olive oil.
It consists of two buildings with a total living area of approx. 120 + 60 m2 in a land of 6000 m2 planted with olive trees.
The original building, characterized cultural property, has been by the architect - owner recently meticulously restored and transformed the ground floor to a fully equipped guesthouse that can sleep two to four guests and the first floor to an artist`s atelier and office.
With TV, stereo, fully air-conditioned with fireside in every room, a separate bedroom, bathroom and living room with a small but functional kitchenette, indoor and outdoor dining areas.
The newer building dates of 1995 and consists of 2 bedrooms, 1 bathroom, a vaste living area with kitchen, a panorama – terrasse and a spacious courtyard, main living space during summertime, provides a unique view of the gulf of Volos, inviting for relaxed sunbathing as well as for quiet, romantic evenings.
The estate is located 3 km from the seaside, 25 km from the ski centre of Agriolefkes, 16 km from Volos and can be reached by car through a private road. The famous Pelion-Railway - the only mean of transport in the area till 1965 - operates since 1903, pass directly by the guesthouse (twice per day on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays only) and offers the marvellous experience of a slow but charmingly beautiful trip through the intact nature to the neighbour villages (Lechonia, Ano Gatzea, Pinakates, Milies).
